Eighteen Chefs

I'm read about this eatery at Eastpoint Mall in several magazines lately. The name itself captures me but well, have never tried it since i'm hardly in Simei. Based on the various writeups, the restaurant takes a leaf from Brit celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Fifteen. The eatery offers work to wayward teenagers, equipping them with culinary skills to help them reintegrate into society through gainful employment.

Unusual marketing hook aside, Eighteen Chefs whips up delicious dishes that are great value for money, as evidenced by the crowds it draws. I understand that the baked rice is the specialty at the 54-seater restaurant and the baked black pepper crab rice (available only on Wed; order in advance) and the black pepper seafood baked rice come highly recommended, as does the lobster Mornay pasta.
