At Last, It's Finally Over
2 Feb is the day which i have been looking forward to. And i am so glad that it's finally over. It has been alot of stress and hardwork but i think the fun part is working with different people. Depending on how u view it, it can be lots of pain as well as joy at times.
I met a supplier cum friend, Robin just a couple of days back @ the exh and he was telling his colleague that we have known eachother for many years, since his first job. At the time, i just joined and was very quiet then. But now, it's different. In a way, he has kind of seen me grown up. But hey, he's not that old. Too young for me to call him Uncle. Call him Bro maybe. At that juncture, it really struck me. Wow ... there are indeed people around me even at the workplace who have seen me grown up.
Anyway, these are the students who were helping us with registrations, ushering etc. The favourite must be Khet, a student from Thailand followed by Ryan as voted by my colleagues.
Here's a picture of the 3 Musketiers (Andrew, Jasmine & Alicia). The 2 gals were busy taking pictures coz. it's their last day of internship. Time flies!
And these are the nicer booth designs, mainly by the corporate stands. Singapore Tourism Board, Gustodian, Best Western, Como, Hilton, Singapore Flyer, Raffles, Starwood, Accor, Pan Pacific, Sunway.
More designs ... Shangri-La, Laguna, Sol Melia, GHM, Nikko, Banyan Tree, Amara, Hyatt, Parkroyal, Tourism Malaysia, Singapore Airlines, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Philippines Tourist Office, Ministry of Culture & Tourism Indonesia, Marina Bay Sands
MEET UP WITH GILL WHEELAN
On Saturday, had lunch with my ex-colleague and one of the buyers cum friend. Gill is lucky coz. he is the only one that was hosted @ Raffles Hotel. Of course he was happy. He said he had VIP treatment for 5 days. I had to clarify that the arrangement had nothing to do with me. So in a way, he was really fortunate.
I told Gill that i've not been around Raffles Hotel for awhile and have always wondered if they have a swimming pool. So he brought us around since he was a guest. Here's the pool, just a small one though. It's on the third floor btw.
Architecture of Raffles Hotel
We had a late lunch @ Rochester Park. When we arrived at the carpark, it was strange ... there were so many ferraris. Gill made me pose for this pix. He said i can pretend that it's mine. Ha ha!
