A River Adventure

Last week, i got to experience what it was like to be a tourist in Singapore. Went on a FAM trip on board the new Hippo River Cruise Ride (the same company behind the famous Ducktours and DHL Balloon) which cruises along the Singapore River. The half-an-hour cruise ride departs at clarke quay. It was a pretty nice experience to explore the sights and attractions of what i see almost every day, but from a different perspective.

Enjoyed the evening cruise as the weather was terrific. I stopped and pondered .. yah... actually our Singapore City Skyline is quite beautiful.

When we passed by Fullerton Hotel, the guide was quick to point out to us that there were country flags being placed at the hotel. This means that some head of states or 'big-shots' are staying at the hotel. To think of it, yeah ... this is pretty much protocol or i call it, common sense. But yes, i learnt something new!

Some snapshots taken via my mobile.

A Spectacular Evening

It doesn't seem too long ago when i last watched the fireworks display at the Marina WaterFront Viewing Gallery . Twelve months on, i was once again invited to the event which has always been one of the highlights of the National Day celebrations.

Despite the drizzle, majority of the crowd still turned up for the event.

Following are some of the fireworks display. Photos courtesy of my cousin, Darren.

Ole Ole Ole

Sunday was my nephew, Terry's One Month Old celebration. He's so cute and lovable.

But the adults who have all gathered at my auntie's place had more on the agenda. My family was out in full force to cheer for our Singapore Table-Tennis Team. It was simply nerve-freaking and we all screamed and cheered like there was never tomorrow whenever Singapore scored a point. But of course, the China team had proven themselves that they were the better team. Whatever it is, well done Team Singapore! You have done Singapore proud.

It was a really FUN time together.
