It's Over?

Just last week, i was planning for a short holiday with afew friends. We were all so excited that we were going somewhere. Accommodations were free and air tickets were really cheap. It would have been a good break for everyone after a year of hard work.

After everything has been settled, an sms came from one friend that her company is in a terrible state and filling for bankruptcy. One - Two days later, yes .. her company made it to the headlines.

Next came the news on the insurance sector. They were one of my major sponsors.

Sigh ... such is the vulnerability of life. You can't presume that everything is well at all times. Like what my friend wrote ... well, it's over ... haiz. I wish i know the perfect thing to say to her that will encourage her. But seriously, anyone who is in her position will feel lousy too. But well, what can i say but look at the bright side of things. It's not the end of the world and yes, life goes on despite the good and bad.

A colleague always tells us this ... enjoy everyday coz. u never know if tommorrow comes. While it may sound abit negative, but there's so much truth in it.

Give Me A Break!

I think i felt really drained today. I didn't even have the time to seat at my own workplace.

When i first stepped in the office, the moment i put my bag down and even before i had the chance to switch on my computer and seat down, this was what happened:

1) My superior asked me over to her office to give some opinions for a paper.

2) Right after, had a discussion with a colleague

3) CEO interuptted the meeting and said he wants to meet my team immediatedly after my discussion ends

4) Straight after meeting with CEO, it was meeting with my supplier followed by lunch together.

5) Immediatedly after lunch, came back to the office and another supplier was already waiting.

6) Right after the meeting, had a long chat and discussion with another colleague regarding her application for transferable to my team.

7) Followed by yet another meeting with a major sponsor till 7pm followed by dinner which ended at 9.45pm.

My goodness .... i really didn't even have a good one minute break.

Casual Fridays

There goes my casual fridays! No more denim, no more jeans. I am feeling rather pissed off with this particular person who started this off.

And this person is the one that my team has a 'love-hate' relationship with. Sometimes u really treasure & can't do without her, but yet on many occassions, she simply drives u up the wall by her inflexibility and micro-management style.

Gee ... there's really all kinds of people @ work. Patience ... patience .. patience. When i first started blogging, i told myself that i will not talk about work. But well, it's tough not to.
